Babett Niclas, geb. 1991, ist eine in Leipzig lebende Harfenistin mit verschiedenen musikalischen Schwerpunkten, die sie in unterschiedlichsten Formaten und Gruppen einbringt. Sie ist aktiv zwischen der Musik des 16. & 17. Jahrhunderts und des 20. & 21. Jahrhunderts sowie traditionellen Musiken und ihren Grenzbereichen sowie Improvisation.
Als Musikerin ist sie Teil verschiedener Ensembles, in denen der Inhalt, die Musik stets im Mittelpunkt steht und angemesse Konzertformate gesucht und entwickelt werden.

Sie studierte Harfe in Leipzig und Glasgow und erweiterte ihr Fähigkeiten um Scottish / Irish harp sowie das Spiel der barocken Tripleharfe. Sie war Stipendiatin der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, des Yehudi-Menuhin Live-Music-Now e.V., des Kulturamtes Leipzig und des Bayerischen Musikrates.

Babett Niclas, born 1991, is a harpist based in Leipzig, Germany, with different musical focuses, whicontributesch she in a wide variety of formats and groups. She is active between the music of the 16th & 17th century and 20th & 21st, as well as traditional music, and improvisation.
As a musician she is part of various ensembles in which the content, the music is always the focus and in which appropriate concert formats are sought and developed.

She studied harp in Leipzig and Glasgow and expanded her skills with Scottish / Irish harp as well as playing the baroque triple harp. She was a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the Yehudi-Menuhin Live-Music-Now e.V., the Kulturamt Leipzig and the Bayerischer Musikrat.
